The departure point for Ayse Erkmen’s art is space and location. Through interventions and installations Erkmen creates irritating situations by staging subtle references to the specific conditions of the exhibition site and the metaphorical associations it evokes.
Outset was pleased to facilitate 'Weggefährten', a commission for her solo presentation at Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin in 2008.
