In 2014 Outset Netherlands supported the acquisition of the two installations Tchogha Zanbil (Loop), 2012 and Tchogha Zanbil (Port), 2012 by David Jablonowski for the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. Jablonowski was the first artist participating in the Outset-supported 'De Ateliers / Debut Series' to be granted a solo exhibition in Den Hague. His museum debut and the acquisitions were financed by Outset Netherlands with additional support by the Niemeijer Foundation.
The acquired works were part of the exhibition Complex Images which was on view at the Gemeentemuseum from 15th February until 22nd June 2014.
Born in Bochum, Germany, in 1982 David Jablonowski examines in his works the surface and the evolution of the contemporary communication technologies. In the form of sculptures, videos and installations, he focuses on the theme of the development of language as a technically reproducible code and its aesthetic development with regard to the communication of knowledge and information. David Jablonowski lives and works in Amsterdam.
