Outset Family was a framework of support for a range of projects running between 2010-2015, raising roughly £280,000 over five years.
Outset Family supported the National Gallery's Magic Carpet Story Telling in 2011-2012. Every Sunday, the National Gallery offered a wonderful programme for children under 5 called The Magic Carpet Storytelling. Art educators would take a group of children to a different painting every Sunday and help them engage with the work through interactive story sessions. In the sessions, guests are invited to enjoy interactive stories inspired by pictures in the National Gallery. Once a month guests can enjoy a musical magic carpet story with a specialist early years music facilitator. It was one of the National Gallery’s most popular and best-loved public children's programmes.
Outset Family support: £7,000.
