Outset Israel Patrons strengthen contemporary visual art production in Israel by supporting new commissions from established and emerging Israeli artists and further the donation of Israeli works to both international and Israeli public institutions.

What sets the Outset Patrons apart is its involvement with artists and curators at the formative stages of their career enabling them to realise their vision, working closely together with public cultural institutions and promoting philanthropy and developing new patrons for contemporary art.

Outset Israel Patrons collectively fund up to twelve art projects a year by powerful artistic talents to enrich a public museum in Israel or abroad for a large public to enjoy. Outset Israel’s patrons are closely involved with the supported projects.

Curator and artist led tours of museums and galleries.
Artist’s studio visits.

FAQs

What if I can’t attend all the art tours with my busy schedule?

It’s completely normal not to make it to every visit. We offer many art tours throughout the year, and we share the full programme well in advance so you can plan ahead and add the dates to your calendar. Most importantly, your donation continues to support the creation of new Israeli art, regardless of how many tours you are able to join. Your impact remains meaningful and deeply appreciated.

How often are grants given?

Outset invites artists to apply for a grant once a year, through an open-call process that takes place between November and December. Grants are then awarded to selected projects, which are developed and realised during the following calendar year.

Which institutions does Outset work with?

Outset works closely with all major art institutions in Israel, as well as with select partner institutions internationally. We maintain an ongoing dialogue with these organisations and invite both artists and institutions to apply for our grants. Once a project is selected, we collaborate closely with the artist and the hosting institution to support the work’s realisation. Our patrons also have the opportunity to meet the artists personally and engage with their practice in a meaningful and intimate way.

What kind of updates and information do I receive as part of the Outset Community?

Once you join the Outset Community, you receive our monthly or bi-monthly programme directly to your inbox, along with updates and reminders about upcoming art tours. We also share curated recommendations for additional art events beyond our official programme, ensuring you stay connected to everything happening in the local art scene. In addition, we keep you informed about major international art fairs and, when possible, offer VIP passes so you can enjoy privileged access to global art events.
