Seeing the Invisible is an augmented reality contemporary art exhibition initiated by Outset Contemporary Art Fund in partnership with the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens. It is the first exhibition of its kind on view simultaneously at twelve different locations around the world.
Seeing the Invisible exhibition is bridging the physical and digital worlds to create a new 'phygital' model, bringing worldwide botanical gardens expert knowledge of their field together with the most cutting-edge technology in contemporary art to develop a new exhibition format beyond the typical museum or gallery space. The AR artworks and the designated mobile app were developed for this project by Khora studio, Copenhagen.
The exhibition was curated by Hadas Maor (curator of contemporary art) and
Tal Michael Haring (virtual and augmented reality expert and curator).
