MOMus – Experimental Center for the Arts invited the artist Virginia Mastrogiannaki to perform an "open reading" of the Greek Constitution, at the Old Parliament’s historical conference room (National Historical Museum, Athens) on Saturday 30th March 2019 at 16:00 (performance duration: 4:30 hours).
The Greek Constitution is the fundamental text upon which the formulation of the whole of the country’s legislation is based regarding the rights, the obligations of citizens, as well as the organisation and the basic functional rules of the state and all institutions.
Reading in / Reading out was a continuous non-stop breathing-reading performance, seeking to literally and metaphorically transform the body into a woodwind instrument.
