Outset Estonia is committed to building international relationships, supporting Estonian contemporary art projects on the international scene as well as backing acquisitions to public institutions.
It was founded in 2015 as a non-profit organisation by Karin Laansoo and Maarja Oviir-Neivelt, with the financial backing of a core group of founding members of the public who committed the initial support for three years.
Outset’s vision and impact have been groundbreaking since the organisation introduced a new philanthropic model in Estonia where the majority of contemporary art has been publicly funded.
PATRONS CIRCLE
€5,000, €2,500 or €1,000 per year
A global network of philanthropic ambassadors who have an interest in supporting contemporary art activity in the public realm in Estonia.
Outset Estonia’s funding priority is support for emerging artists through Estonian commissions and productions for national and international projects, donation and acquisition of Outset-funded artworks to public collections, as well as the production of new artworks.
What does your support unlock?
Outset Estonia Patrons are invited to engage in a series of events such as studio and collection visits, curator-led tours of exhibitions, and international trips. Members get early access and information about Outset Estonia-supported projects, allowing them to be involved in a meaningful way.
