Rooted in London since 2003 yet working across continents, Outset UK has supported projects from grassroots initiatives to the global stage. Our funding is curator- and institution-led, ensuring that support is guided by expertise and embedded knowledge.
Outset was the first independent patrons’ collective, choosing to fund institutions across the arts ecosystem. Over two decades later, 250+ individuals have provided fractional contributions to this model.
The groundbreaking Outset / Frieze Art Fair Fund to benefit the Tate Collection was the inaugural fund through which 100 works were purchased from commercial galleries at Frieze London and donated to the UK’s national collection.
Outset UK is governed by a board of trustees responsible for ensuring that the charity is managed in line with Outset UK’s Articles of Association, and Charity Commission guidelines. No one trustee donates more than 5% of annual turnover. Link to audited accounts.
