Outset Partners

Outset Partners is the flagship annual fund which has provided over £1.5 million in funding to 37 international projects. Awards have spanned four continents, 15 countries and supported 200+ artists and 80+ creative practitioners.

The fund is the largest grant from a collective of philanthropists who make the funding decisions themselves, supported by a Research Lead with deep art sector expertise. Clare Lilley is the Research Lead from Cycle VIII. This independent position was previously held by Kirsty Ogg (Cycles V-VII), Rachel Pownall (Cycle IV), and Kirstie Skinner (Cycles I-III).

Invitations are extended each year to a trusted network of over 400 global public art institutions. Proposals are researched and debated over a 10-month cycle before awards are made.
