Our mission

Each Outset charity fundraises to support ambitious, risk-taking contemporary art projects in international public art institutions.

Outset funds:

• Early stage risk-taking and experimentation
• Creativity that speaks to the urgent issues of our time, locally, nationally and globally
• Bold ideas from possibility to reality
• Opportunities for audiences to experience art, now and for generations to come.

Support is always curator- and institution-led, guided by expertise and embedded knowledge and responds to the needs of the organisation and its people – curators, artists, audience.
